This bundle includes a 4-step visual task analysis, a social story, and a printable "Expected Behaviors" visual to prepare students for riding the city bus. The social story provides a perfect frontloading opportunity for students as they prepare to learn how to use city transportation to go out into the community. The story can be read together as a class or in 1:1 settings or small groups, so that students will know what to expect when they ride on the city bus. Student-friendly language and visuals help with understanding and comprehension. The task analysis uses both written and visual instructions to detail the steps in the process of riding the bus. Teachers can go over the steps with students before a trip, as well as laminate the page and bring it with them for students to check off the steps as they complete them. The expected behaviors card is important to go over with students before getting on the bus, but also serves as a great visual to point to when laminated and brought on the bus with students! Using city transportation is a crucial skill for students to learn, make sure they have the support they need when doing so!
